Birds
Birds are unique it that they are the only animals covered with feathers, whether they fly or not. The feathers consist of keratin, a fibrous protein forming the main structural constituent of hair, hoofs, claws, horns, and human fingernails. Birds have be around for 140 million years, and today there are approximately 8,600 kinds of birds.
