Notre Dame—Saint George's Chapel

The Gothic cathedral, dedicated to the Virgin Mary, was constructed between 1163 and 1250. Architecturally, it noted for the innovative flying buttresses and sculptured facade.

On April 15, 2019, a devastating fire collapsed the roof, destroying the landmark spire, and inflicting major damages. Within hours, significant amounts of money from around the world was donated for its rebuilding.
